How many gyms are there in Pokémon Reborn? ›

Reborn has 18 gym leaders, one for each type, along with various backup leaders.

Painter Vanhanen, commonly known as Noel, is the Normal-type Gym Leader of the Reborn League, the twin brother of Anna, and the son of Radomus and Zina. He hands out the Standard Badge, the 7th Gym Badge the player receives. Noel is usually stoic and is a bit more of a realist compared to his cheerful twin sister Anna.

At the beginning of the game, the level cap is Level 20. It increases gradually as the player earns more Gym badges. The maximum level cap in main game is level 100, and Pokemon cannot level up past this cap, even with Rare Candies.

The Peridot Gym is the official Gym of the Peridot Ward, located in the Neo-Circuit Power Plant. This is the first Gym the Player will challenge in the Reborn League. It is led by the eccentric Julia who specializes in Electric-type Pokémon.

He hands out the Millennium Badge, the 8th Gym Badge the player receives. Radomus is very cunning and can be quite eccentric. He is a world-renowned chess player, and a master of disguise with his many hats.

The fourth gym in Pokémon Sword is in Stow-on-Side, and is against a fighting-type expert, Bea. Note that if you have Pokémon Shield, then you battle a ghost-type gym leader, Allister, instead. Serra Voclain is the Ice type Gym Leader of the Reborn League and the mother of Bennett. She hands out the Rime Badge, the 6th Gym Badge that the player receives. Serra is a calm and mature woman, although she tends to recall the past, which depresses her a bit.

Hardy Andersen is the Rock type Gym Leader of the Reborn League, and the younger brother of Titania. He hands out the Geode Badge, the 17th Gym Badge the player receives. Hardy is stubborn and headstrong, not too unlike his sister.

Ringmaster Alistasia is the Ringmaster of the Agate Circus.

An Exp. All can be obtained as a reward for the completion of the Missing Furniture Sidequest if the password "freeexpall" is active and you have not obtained Exp.

Shade is the Ghost type Gym Leader of the Reborn League. He hands out the Omen Badge, the 4th Gym Badge the player receives.

Shelly Citra is the Bug type Gym Leader of the Reborn League. She hands out the Cocoon Badge, the 3rd Gym Badge the player receives. She is timid and gets paranoid easily, but is fairly nice to people.

Samson Alvarez is the Fighting type Gym Leader of the Reborn League and a member of the Agate Ace Triumvirate, along with Terra and Ciel. He hands out the Strike Badge, the 10th Gym Badge the player receives. Samson is fairly blunt and can be quite bold.

In each game, Trainers must collect eight Gym Badges to complete the Gym Challenge and earn the opportunity to participate in the Champion Cup. Over the course of the main story, Trainers will challenge eight Gyms, which are all in the Major League.

The Gym guide routinely stands at the entrance of the Gym, giving the player advice about the type advantages corresponding to the signature type of the Gym Leader. There are generally eight known official Gyms in core series regions that include Gyms.
